I had the best Valentine’s Day!
I got 2 amazing gifts and no, not from a dude! (Sings: I don’t need a man to make it happen…). And I went to see Fifty Shades of Grey and it DID NOT disappoint.
First up those of you that think the book is better- DUH- that’s how it should be!
And NO all the good scenes couldn’t be shown because otherwise the movie would have been deemed PORN!
Secondly- the casting was spot on for me! OL Jamie did the trick and I think the underlying love story came through. The acting was good and the sex scenes were tasteful yet truly kinky! All in all- I would watch it again.
I want to take a minute here to address the feminist attacks on the film and book trilogy…. Ladies please! I am all for the Feminist Revolution and what it truly stands for but this movie does not objectify our gender. Do some research- S&M is a fetish and is very real! More so- Anna’s willingness to peer into his depraved soul to try and save him with love is moving! Plus hell- we should all try something at least once right?
I don’t get why people have their brooks in a knot over this- and not in the good way- it is a movie and believe me we see WAY worse in TV series.
My five cents worth is the film was GREAT and I can’t wait for the other two!
P.S This is a use it or don’t post… each to their own!
